Now there is a phrase with lots of potential meanings.
For WorkInCulture, and our partners at The Business School and School of Creative and Performing Arts at Humber College, Creative Works is the name of our brand new conference scheduled for May 12, 2017 to be held at Humber’s Lakeshore Campus.
If you are part of the creative community, committed to furthering your own professional development, and interested in tapping into a day of insights into current and future trends, while networking with like-minded colleagues, put the date in your calendar now. The day will be jam-packed with speakers, panels, interactive sessions, and even some actual art – exhibits and performances!
We will kick-off the day with futurist Sanjay Khanna sharing thoughts on how climate change, gamification and big data may impact the arts, and finish up with the help of Choir! Choir! Choir! who always surprise and inspire. During the day-long event there will be programming in three main streams:
Money + Models – Investigating new ways of building, operating, and funding the organizations, businesses, and systems in our sector.
Innovating Work/Space – Exploring the newest innovations in cultural workplace management and technology.
Leading for the Future – Forecasting the trends and innovations that will shape the future of arts and culture leadership.
Regardless of whether you are an emerging artist or arts administrator, or an established professional, whether you work for yourself, work for a nonprofit arts organization or in other cultural industries, this will be a chance to become motivated, learn new ideas and explore opportunities.
Save the date and stay tuned – early bird registration will begin in the New Year. Look forward to seeing you on May 12.
