Reporting to the Manager, Adult Learning & Residency Programs, the Adult Course Instructor will conduct art courses while demonstrating and discussing the techniques and materials particular relevant to the target audience and to the course medium (painting).
You will need to have comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated experience working with the appropriate subject matter (painting) for the sessions as well as the relevant conceptual background, techniques, materials and practices for instructing in those subjects.
You will also need to have comprehensive knowledge and directly related experience with teaching methodologies, techniques and practices, as well as demonstrated teaching experience relevant to adults as required by the course. Well-developed interpersonal, public relations, and verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work well as part of an instructional team are also integral to this position.
