Position is part-time (2-4 days a week) with the possibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.
Position Summary: The Business Affairs Coordinator oversees all applications related to funding and certification for White Pine Pictures' development, production and distribution operations (i.e. CAVCO/OMDC/CRTC). The person in this position is required to track funding deadlines, organize funding applications while working cooperatively with legal, accounting and production to gather required documents, and to submit files, provide subsequent materials as requested by the organizations. Meeting deadlines in a pro-active and organized manner are essential objectives of this position.
Requirements: Experience dealing directly with Canadian funding agencies such as CMF, OMDC, CAVCO, and BellFund. Knowledge and experience in the business affairs area of film and television production with a clear understanding of how tax credits work. The ability to navigate complex contracts, accounting statements and reports is an asset. Previous relationships with Canadian funding agencies and broadcasters is preferred. The candidate needs to be able to work independently and be able to maintain and juggle many projects at the same time.
