Key projects include Bollywood Monster Mashup, which is the largest South Asian festival in Canada; the award-winning Monster Rock Orchestra, which combines hit music with a live orchestra and laser show; and Monster Arts for Youth (M.A.Y.), a program which sends artists into schools to conduct South Asian arts workshops.
Food Festival Coordinator
MonstrARTity Creative Community (MCC) is currently seeking a Food Festival Coordinator for Bollywood Monster Mashup 2017. This position is comprised of a combination of hours to be worked remotely, team conference calls, and status meetings in Mississauga.
Build and maintain vendor database and relationships with food vendors
Coordinate vendor intake and processing, including updating and managing contracts and vendor information packages, selecting vendors, securing vendor requirements, and ensuring mandatory municipal and regional permits and documentations are met
Coordinate with production team on site plan logistics, including load-in and load-out, vendor placements, stocking, and providing necessary access to water and power
Other duties to support the team as needed
Degree or diploma in Arts and Culture Administration or Event and/or Festivals Management
Relevant experience working with food vendors in a festival setting
Proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Drive, etc) and Dropbox
Attention to detail, time management and initiative
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to make team meetings, events and stakeholder meetings in the GTA and have access to own laptop, phone and voice mail
Valid G or G2 driver’s license and access to vehicle suggested, but not required

Start date: Immediate or from March 13, 2017
Part time: 20-30 hours/week (flexible)
Term: 6-month contract with opportunity for extension
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
