Job Description

The Social Media Specialist will manage Luminato’s social media platforms and campaigns and support the marketing team on as wellas other digital marketing projects.

Social Media Marketing
Generate content for the festival’s social media platforms including Facebook, Facebook Live, Twitter, and Instagram; draft copy and do basic photo editing
Manage day-to-day social media accounts with scheduled posts as well as live posts and monitor conversations in real-time
Monitor channels for Luminato-specific keywords as well as relevant news and content in the arts industry
Work with internal PR team to identify social media influencers and opportunities for user-generated content
Liaise with colleagues for content and copy approvals and review
Execute contests, giveaways and other interactive campaigns
Research and identify social media marketing opportunities and areas of growth
Work with the Marketing Coordinator to facilitate third-party social media exchanges
Liaise with other departments to facilitate social media messaging requests, such as sponsor mentions
Reporting and Analytics
Source analytics platform to use in tracking social media activities
Compile analytics of the festival’s social media successes, challenges, reach and impressions for post-festival reporting
Other
Coordinate and assist with additional digital marketing projects as required
Attend Luminato events to live-tweet and/or support event execution via social media platforms
Possibility of contributing to Luminato blog and email content creation



Requirements:

Qualifications
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and best practices with relevant work experience
Exceptional written communication skills
Ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts, with a positive and professional attitude
Demonstrated project management skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask with quick deadlines in a busy environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as image editing software (asset)
Interest in photography and design is an asset
Understanding of or experience with a not-for-profit / arts organization is an asset
