Based in the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning in downtown Toronto, The Royal Conservatory School (RCS) offers a variety of group classes and private instruction for people of all ages, levels and artistic interests.

This is a part-time, entry-level position, which would be ideal for an individual wanting to gain experience in arts administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, RCS, the Student Services Representative is primarily responsible for processing the registration of students and counselling both current and prospective students regarding RCM programs. Other responsibilities include data entry and general administrative and customer service support.
The ideal candidate will have:
Post-secondary diploma/degree with an emphasis in the arts or business administration.
At least two years’ experience in a customer service role, with at least one year of previous experience working in a phone-based setting.
Experience in sales, with an emphasis on consultative sales experience.
Word processing and filing skills, including ability to use MS Word and Excel.
The ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and make sound judgements in a fast-paced working environment.
Conflict management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow established processes.
Well-developed inter-personal and oral communication skills.
Dedication to providing superior customer service and working as a team member.
A background in music and/or knowledge of the RCM programs would be an asset.
