Job Description
You will have worked in as theatre or large multi-purpose entertainment venue and or have national touring experience. You have comprehensive knowledge of the technical needs of a diverse entertainment and arts program as well be able to demonstrate comprehensive training in safe working practices.
You will provide technical support to all events presented by Casino New Brunswick as well as third party promoters. You will manage all aspects of Health & Safety relative to the use of stage technical installations and associated equipment and administer systems to demonstrate good housekeeping. You will respond to customers technical needs including design and creative work. You will represent and be responsible for all aspects of the venue lighting elements as well as operating. This is inclusive of lighting elements installed in other areas of the property for design purposes.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Manager Entertainment (and/or assigned Department Manger(s) as required
Provide a warm, welcoming and inviting atmosphere for all visitors, artists and their staff, and staff to the casino event center
Correspond and advance all aspects of lighting with Artist’s Production Manager and Venue Entertainment Manager
Monitor and order consumable lighting supplies and rental equipment as required
Responds to general telephone, e-mail and in-person inquires as required
Responsible to assist as required performing artists and their touring staff as required on show days
Responsible to work on all show days within the venue.
Responsible for maintaining a shared master show file system for all technical aspects of the show as well as facilitating the execution of all contracts.
Responsible for ordering all required supplies, rentals and consumable goods for the department.
Responsible for assisting, designing and or operating as required for special events and third party bookings
Participate in client consultations
The Lighting Designer is responsible for the creation of the lighting design for a given production as required
Establish an in-house lighting plot and maintain a working inventory of fixtures
Other duties as assigned

Computer literacy including efficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Email
Experience maintaining a comprehensive filing system
Self starter and ability to work independently; results oriented
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Working knowledge of live entertainment practices
Working knowledge of the Grand MA and MA Lite
Experience working with financials and budgets
Additional Information
Education and Experience:
College or University Diploma in a related field; Equivalent work experience will be considered
Previous administration experience required
Previous experience in a live entertainment venue
Previous touring experience
