Job Description
The Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival is a volunteer run festival going into its second year in showcasing local short films exclusively from the Greater Toronto area. We aim to showcase the cinematic art and entertainment that Toronto young filmmakers has to offer. The films featured in the festival garner to a large audience and we have been supported by industry partners such as Movieola the Short Film Channel. This year's festival will run from June 22-26 with submissions opening on February 15.
The T24 Project is one of the new programs introduced this year by the festival team. It is a challenge to filmmakers to flex their creative muscles in their craft.
On the evening of March 5th, filmmakers will be presented a question about the Toronto experience. Teams will then have 24 hours to complete a 7-15 minute film that answers the question. The Challenge Question will only be revealed at the kick off!
Requirements
Challenge is open to all filmmakers between the ages of 18-26 inclusive. Filmmakers must also be a current resident or studying in the Greater Toronto Area.
Kick off date is on March 5th at a location in downtown Toronto.
Completed films will be handed in on March 6th.
All completed films will be between 7-15 minutes.
Selected submissions will be played on the opening night of the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival and team captains will receive a festival pass for our events.

There is a $5 registration fee per team to be paid at the challenge kick off. This fee helps offset the cost of your festival participation, including a festival pass.

Organization Description
The Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival is a showcase of high-quality cinematic short works created by those between the ages of 18-26 in the Greater Toronto Area. Festival lineup is one of the few in the city that solely accepts work from GTA based artists. Films will range from dramatic narratives to experimental new media works and the stories all reflect on Toronto's vast diversity of cultures.
