The Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) Board of Directors is currently looking for diverse board members with a variety of skills and experiences, from all regions within Canada.  We are seeking candidates with knowledge, skills and experiences in executive leadership, accounting/finance, policy development, investment management, human resource management, legal, fundraising, marketing and/or media expertise, as well as those with charitable foundation experience.  Board members are actively involved in the DTRC’s governance and are expected to attend regular board meetings and participate in additional committees as required.

Founded in 1985, the Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) is a national, charitable organization dedicated to helping dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers. We also operate as a resource centre for the dance community and public and support activities that improve the socioeconomic conditions of artists across the country.

As a world leader in dancer transition, we are active participants in international conferences and research initiatives and help drive change within the dance community.

Our mission is to serve professional* Canadian dancers from diverse backgrounds, dance forms and practices, both at home and abroad, by being a resource for career development and transition.

Our vision is to support healthy transitions that improve the lives and livelihoods of professional* Canadian dancers.(*As defined in the Canadian Artists’ Code)
