WorkInCulture is pleased to announce that Nordicity will be the research consultant for our forthcoming labour market insights project. This labour market insights project is being supported by the Government of Ontario, and is intended to contribute to the Ontario Culture Strategy goal of supporting the cultural workforce.

Nordicity is a leading international consulting firm providing private and public sector clients with solutions for research, economic analysis, strategy and business, and policy and regulation with extensive experiencing conducting research for arts, culture, heritage, digital and creative media clients. Moreover, they are an international leader in designing methodologies to capture the social and economic benefits of the arts, heritage and creative industries.

Prior to this current Labour Market Insights Project, WorkInCulture has partnered with Nordicity on several other research projects, including our Hubs and Business Skills Training for the Culture and Creative Sector report issued in 2017, which was supported by the Ontario Media Development Corporation and the Ontario Arts Council. You can access WIC Research Reports by clicking here.

WorkInCulture, along with the Nordicity team, has already begun the process of engaging the wider community through our first-ever Exploratory Research Roundtable in December, and our Community Ambassador Meeting in March. We’re hard at work mapping out our next steps, and we look forward to sharing more information with the wider community very soon.
