Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable
  • Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests, flagging for clarification/resolution any unusual or questionable invoice items/prices
  • Collect, sort and match visa receipts as per visa statement provided, obtain approvals on spending, and verify department for budget coding
  • Sort, code and match invoices; set invoices up for payment in the system
  • Track expenses and prepare expense reports
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
Accounts Receivable
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, providing them to management for decision making
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Financial Information Management & Communications
  • Reconciliation, analysis and reporting on general ledger accounts as required
  • Daily communication and interaction with suppliers, banking personnel, and staff with an interest and commitment to strengthening our reputation
  • Work with the Finance team to achieve accurate, timely and consistent reporting
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and  reconcile for the purpose of preparing and presenting timely, accurate and useful information


Requirements:

PERFORMANCE SKILLS
  • Strong aptitude for managing information, numbers and manipulation of data for the purpose of drawing conclusions
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and reconcile for the purpose of preparing and presenting timely accurate and useful information
  • Multitasking, eager to learn, cooperative, communicative, detailed oriented
 
Technical Skills:
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a growing business environment
  • Adept in software applications, including QuickBooks, Excel and Word
