Job Description

TERMS: Full-Time Contract

CONTRACT DATES: January 7, 2019 - July 7, 2020

EDUCATION: Related College Diploma or Degree considered an asset

REPORTS TO: Director of Partnerships 
 
OVERVIEW: Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day project management and client management of key accounts in the Somewherelse portfolio. The Account Manager works in tandem with the project delivery team (Project Lead(s), Production Manager(s), Production Coordinator(s)) to ensure client expectations are being exceeded at every opportunity.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Act as the lead point of contact for day-to-day communication with key Somewherelse clients
  • Manage client relations as it pertains to the development and execution of key projects for Somewherelse clients
  • Initiative creative thinking and fresh, relevant ideas on an ongoing basis
  • Support the delivery of projects to assess status, drive exceptional results, and ensure organizational goals are being met
  • Manage internal team resources which could include project leads, production managers, production coordinators
  • Weekly client status calls and updates
  • Draft and oversee project budgets
  • Issue Statements of Work and change order when necessary
  • Work with Somewherelse Finance team to ensure resources are delegated appropriately
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Work with Director of Partnerships to expand scope of projects with current clients
  • Establishing and aligning with client on KPIs for projects and campaigns
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Working in tandem with project team for planning and execution of campaigns and events
  • Administration tasks including portfolio recording, budget reconciliation, time tracking, and wrap reports 
And performing other related duties as required to fulfill role.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have the appropriate credentials and a proven record as a collaborative leader within a company of relevant activity and scope.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering transformative ideas & experiences in a dynamic work environment, and have a thorough knowledge of creative industries and emergent lifestyle culture. The following qualifications are minimum expectations for a successful candidate:
  • Two to five years’ work experience in a project management / account management role, ideally in a creative industry 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, on both a corporate and culture/community-facing level
  • Knowledge and proven success in marketing agency or related environment
  • Experience in or acute understanding of emergent trends in arts & culture;  related network considered an asset
  • Experience establishing / working within strict brand guidelines 
  • Client management experience with key stakeholders, both in-person and remotely
  • Hands-on event production experience considered an asset 
  • Experience managing project budgets 
  • Working knowledge of G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
  • Design skills considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license considered an asset

Additional Info:

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Quarterly performance review based on meeting, and exceeding, set targets related to client satisfaction and project scope. KPIs related to delivery of project on time, on budget and with customer delight (high customer satisfaction); managing budget to achieve financial targets.
