Modern Arts Studio
Modern Arts Studio is a brand new acting and performance studo in Oakville Ontario. We offer unique programs in acting song and dance theatre and dance for students ages 7-16. We will be adding adult classes for students 17 and up and workshops are all coming soon! Our programs run Tuesday through Saturday check our website for detailed information on programs, events and news!

Job Description

Modern Arts Studio is hiring Acting Intructors for our Summer Camps that run July 4th-8th, July 18th-22nd and August 2-5th at the Glen Abbey United Church in Oakville. Our camps run from 9:00am-3:00pm with aftercare from 3-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Requirements:

Instructors will need a background in theatre with a minimum of two years in a recognized College or University theatre arts or musical theatre program. Applicants must have some camp or clasroom experience and be comfortable working with students in a studio style setting. They should have experience structuring theatre games and activities, teaching short scripts, teaching concepts of staging and space, speech and performance. Camps are fast paced with an emphasis on fun and will include, lunch possible outside time and art activities related to the camp. First aid is an asset. Some dance background is also an asset.
