Organization Description

Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association

The Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association is a not-for-profit organization that celebrates and promotes the Hispanic heritage and culture found in Greater Toronto Area.
HCACA showcases local Hispanic Canadian musicians and artists through events like, Hispanic Extravaganza, Ontario Latin Arts Festival, Hispanic Chamber music concerts and Art exhibits.



Job Description

Oversee all aspects of organization’s Communications and Marketing department;
Administrative support;
Website, database and social media administration;
Attend and Manage two monthly Bingo Fundraisers in Mississauga and Scarborough on Saturdays;
Public and media relations;
Marketing and managing organization’s events;
Grant writing
Community outreach
Supervise and guide intern students
Manage tickets sales and admin for the Association’s partner Ontario Pops Orchestra and events. www.ontariopops.com
Responsible for the admin email address and ensure timely response
Booking keeping  for budget on excel and produce financials.
 

Requirements:

  • Arts Administration degree or similar experience
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Positive attitude and strong initiative
  • Professional demeanour
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Proficiency in email platforms and basic spreadsheets
  • Own laptop to bring to office is an asset
  • Background in marketing
  • Spanish is not required


Additional Info:

Start Date: ASAP
Salary:  $18/hour
Term: 4 months (option to renew upon budget)
Hours: Monday to Fridays 1 pm to 5 pm (with occasional evenings and weekends).
