Job Description

St. Andrew's Catholic, Oakville is seeking a bass section lead, $150/service for ongoing 10 am Sunday rehearsal for 10:30 mass ending at 11:30 am.  There will be extra services at Christmas and Easter.  Rides can be had from Oakville GO station.  There will be occasional further paid cantoring opportunities, and solo opportunities on a regular basis.  The choir currently consists of 20-25 volunteer members and has a very broad repertoire from Gregorian chant to African-American spirituals, including 8 Latin mass settings by various composers.

Requirements:

Strong sight reading and voice training required.  The successful applicant will be able to interact in a positive manner with volunteer bass section members, and be comfortable working in a church environment.
