Job Description

Business Development Agent is a sales support role — responsible for finding, contacting, and optimizing new opportunities for the company’s keynote speakers through consultation with corporations, associations, and meeting & event planners. It’s the perfect place to learn about the ins and outs of our business. This job is for the engaged and engaging. The curious and the opinionated. But it’s also a tough job. You must have a proven ability to deal with large ongoing tasks, work hard, and stay focussed & motivated. Exceptional communication skills are a minimum requirement. After all, your job will be to convince people to work with our agency and consider new ideas.

We need people to do market research and qualify potential clients. You must be smart, curious, and have excellent research and communication skills. This is a full-time 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
 

Requirements:

  • Is intellectually engaged (as demonstrated by education, experience, and interests) and can think on their feet
  • Has 1 to 3 years experience nurturing business relationships
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment
  • Possesses superior phone and email etiquette — a great communicator and even better listener
  • Loves research and connecting the dots, while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Is a thorough, detail-oriented problem solver
