Summary of Function:  
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing campaigns that form an integral part of the overall marketing to promote Harbourfront Centre’s extensive and acclaimed programming, recreational, and educational offerings. This role plays an important role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and growing the audience database.
The Digital Marketing Manager will spearhead initiatives from ideation, to creation, to execution, monitor and analyze metrics in order to adjust initiatives and campaigns accordingly to meet targets and objectives.
DUTIES:  
Planning & Execution
  • In collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager and working with the Creative Services team, develop and implement integrated multi-channel (web, email, social and programmatic) digital campaigns to promote the festivals, events and programs  
  • Plan, produce and maintain a working calendar of digital initiatives and communications
  • Works to provide plans and digital assets according to process and schedules with the ability to be highly adaptive to dynamic situations
Campaign Strategy
  • Develop and implement web, online and social marketing strategies that align with overall marketing and communications to drive awareness and engagement, ticket sales, registrations and donations
  • Develop strategies that include a focus on CRM and providing meaningful online experiences for our audiences
Campaign Management
  • Prepare post-campaign analysis including metrics of web/online statistics as well as additional customized reports as required.
  • Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results and make recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Set key performance indicators, monitor effective benchmarks for measurement of social media efforts.
Communications & Coordination
  • Effectively communicate and circulate all online marketing materials to key internal stakeholders via the organization’s project management system (Basecamp)
  • Actively contribute to planning, generating ideas and sharing opportunities for consideration in strategy sessions
Staffing and Administration
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working dynamic within the various functional teams in the marketing area
  • Provide direction and support to direct reports
Workplace Health and Safety
  • All staff are required to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of other personnel (including volunteers and interns) who may be affected by their conduct.
 

Requirements:

Skills & Requirements
Essential Criteria
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma preferably in communications or journalism.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2C digital marketing and advertising
  • Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics and best practices
  • Demonstrable experience with email marketing, lead generation and SEO
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS required
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Must possess outstanding oral and written communication skills and good knowledge of grammar and style.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • Must be flexible, able to work some evenings and weekends
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience WordFly, Basecamp and Tessitura
  • Passion for arts and culture
  • Previous experience or knowledge in the not-for-profit cultural sector
