The fundamental focus of Parrsboro Creative centres on the initiatives required to develop its two Major Building Blocks:

At the heart of the vision of Parrsboro Creative is a belief in, and a commitment to, the development of a new cultural economy for Parrsboro and its radial community. We believe that, through the sustained support of carefully selected and well-planned cultural initiatives, an arts-centered environment can be established that will bring artistic excellence and cultural tourism together in such a way that it will stabilize, revive, and in time, sustain a new prosperity for Parrsboro and Cumberland County.

Core Objectives
  • To express, through art, the culture of the Parrsboro Shore/Minas Basin, and to do our part to support the economic benefits of cultural tourism, by actively disseminating the message, both nationally and internationally, that Nova Scotia, with its rich arts community, its world-class outdoor adventures, and its amazing variety of high quality entertainment, is truly an extraordinary place to visit.
