Job Description

We are looking to fill a part time gallery assistant position at Nikola Rukaj Gallery. Established in 1984, Nikola Rukaj Gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada, and a fine art gallery which specializes in post war and contemporary investment art. We exhibit every year at Art Toronto, Art Miami, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and Art New York.

The gallery assistant would be responsible for all aspects of gallery maintenance, administration, upkeep and overall presentation within the arts community. The gallery assistant would be required to work 3 days a week. Responsiblities would include regularly updating the gallery's website and presence on Artsy and Artnet, managing the social media presence as well as emails, maintaining the gallery's inventory including the care and handling of artworks, overseeing the shipment and transportation of artwork to clients, and creating and designing marketing material. Some art history modern and contemporary required.


Education in art history an asset.
Experience in sales an asset.
Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign an asset.
Experience in Squarespace an asset.
