Language Course and Exam Coordinator at the Goethe-Institut Toronto
 
The Goethe-Institut Toronto is looking for a full-time employee to join our team on March 15, 2021.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing German language courses and exams at the Goethe-Institut Toronto and will work in consultation with the Head of the Language Department.
 
The Goethe-Institut Toronto is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany on a global scale. We promote the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange. We also foster knowledge about Germany by providing information on its culture, society and politics.
 
Your Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in course planning, scheduling, and design
  • Administration of billing and accounts receivable for students and examinees
  • Advising and supporting students and examinees
  • Enrollment management
  • Assisting in contract organization and payment for teachers of the Language Department
  • Presentation of course and exam offerings in print and digital format
  • Maintenance of the Goethe-Institut Toronto website for language courses and exams
  • Administration and organization of Goethe-Institut Toronto exams and co-supervision of exam centres
  • Involvement in organization and implementation of events related to language courses
  • Involvement in advertising measures regarding language courses and exams
  • Involvement in Language Department budgeting


Requirements:

Your Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completed Post-Secondary Degree
  • Work experience (2 years minimum)
  • Excellent knowledge of English, written and oral; knowledge of German (B2 level or above)
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and initiative
  • Can work well under stress, flexible, good team player
  • Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
  • Willing and able to quickly and independently become acquainted with Goethe-Institut computer programs

Remuneration:
The salary is based on the local salary scheme of the Goethe-Institut in Canada. Work conditions are based on Canadian law.
