Ambition is a multi-genre performing arts studio, based in Acton, and serving all of Halton Hills. We teach all styles of dance, as well as stage acting, screen acting, musical theatre and vocals.  

Job Description

Ambition Performing Arts Centre is heading into our third season and are looking to expand our amazing faculty with a qualified Musical Theatre Instructor with experience teaching children between the age of 6 and 17. 

This individual should be outgoing, fun and caring, who enjoys working with children, possesses a post-secondary education in the arts and is professional and committed to advancing their students education of Music, Dance, and Theatre. 

Candidates should be available to teach at least one evening weekday from September 2020 through to June 2021, with potential of more available classes on additional evenings and weekends and Summer Camp opportunities. The successful candidate will be expected to create weekly lesson plans to instruct different age students on the foundations of Acting, Singing and Dancing and prepare two performance routines for each class, one in January and the other in June. 


Post-Secondary Education in Musical Theatre. Theatre or the arts is an asset
Ability to play the piano is an asset
Experience in teaching an asset
Vulnerable Sector Police check will be needed for any successful candidate (Not required for interviews) 
First Aid Training is an asset 

Other teachables are an asset including various styles of dance, stage or screen acting. 

Additional Info:

Having your own vehicle is an asset, as Public Transit is very limited to our location.
