Job Description

Frame it on Bloor is a full-service picture framing shop committed to providing our customers with expert advice and quality service at competitive prices. Our showroom collection is carefully curated to carry an array of contemporary to classic framing styles. Every frame is made in our shop, which allows us to see all projects through from start to finish. With all work completed in-house, this means we provide you with efficient service at the best prices. We are currently seeking a part-time custom framer and design consultant to join our team.
 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of strong customer service.
  • A strong desire for on-going training and interest in learning technical and conservational skills.
  • Enjoys working with their hands, comfortable using a variety of tools and machinery.
  • Strong visual and artistic sensibility, able to design and improvise creatively.
  • High degree of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Draw, Wordpress, Microsoft Office software an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 


Additional Info:

  • Consulting with customers to help design and quote framing selection.
  • Using our frame software to make workorders and invoice
  • Organization of ordering framing supplies and keeping inventory 
  • Cutting, joining and assembling picture frames.
  • Handling and conservation of artwork for preservation.
  • Processes such as: Dry-mounting, Canvass/Needle Art stretching etc.
  • Opening and closing procedures, in-store maintenance
  • Social media posting
