Job Description

A 3-month Contract  with potential for a Permanent Full-Time 
Display Arts of Toronto builds a vast array of custom displays, with a focus on Commercial Christmas décor.  We offer a flexible, dynamic, and exciting working environment. Candidates must be able to work in a hectic, fast-paced, environment.  The focus of your role will be to offer strong detail-oriented focus to assist the Production Manager in bringing our Designer and Client’s vision to reality. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you require 3-5 years of production experience managing a staff of 3-10. You are committed and knowledgeable in Health and Safety practices,  Duties include overseeing and assisting in scheduling the daily activities of our Production Assistants, costing jobs and sourcing both materials and suppliers.  Ability to work both within a team and individually; being courteous, honest, reliable, and self-motivated key traits for success in this position.

Requirements:

 Strong Word/Excel experience is required. A working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator is required. A background in Display/Set building, Theatre/Film/Commercials, and the Arts will be an asset.  
WHMIS and First Aid, as well as ensuring safe and clean work environments.
