For the past four decades, we have provided North American audiences with one of the most original, entertaining, family-oriented live shows around! And it just keeps getting better! Fast paced, interactive, heart-warming and hilarious, this is not just a show - it's an experience - like a Broadway musical and a live sporting event rolled into one. And it continues to delight audiences from age two to ninety-two.

Job Description

The President's Choice SuperDogs are looking for a seasonal candidate to work as a Crew Member / Production Assistant for our 2020 season. The position will be casual from Feb - May and will become full time-contract June - Oct. The position will go back to casual from Nov - Dec 2020.

The position will include many roles working as the Production Assistant. Day to day activities and tasks could and will change based on current projects, tasks or productions.


The position of Production Assistant will include:

  • Working from our Ajax, ON office during non-production days to clean and maintain props, load and unload trucks as well as other various warehouse tasks.
  • Valid G drivers license as per Ontario regulations.
  • Have reliable source of transportation to and from warehouse(Ajax, ON) as well as local shows around the GTA.
  • Driving our company vehicle (drivers abstract required) as well as rental trucks 16' - 26' in length.
  • Have prior knowledge of basic sound system setup (wireless mircrophones, powered speakers, iPod's and mixer).
  • Have a background in live events / production.
  • Must have a valid passport as International travel may be required.
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to travel around Canada and the US.
  • Able to lift heavy props and items repetitively.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, wind, etc).
  • Must be comfortable working around dogs and other live animals.
  • Willing to work extended ours during production periods.
  • Must have good customer service skills - speaking to public after shows.
  • Must be comfortable working in front of large crowds of people.
  • Able to adapt to changing work environments and situations based on each production and location.

Additional Info:

The ideal candidate should have a great work ethic and great attention to detail. They must also be self motivated and highly organized. A production background would be an asset.

**This position is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position**

The position starts at $16/hr but can increase with shown skills and abilities.

The successful candidate must be available for a phone interview and also have black pants and black shoes for attire. A shirt will be provided to the candidate for the duration of the shows.
