Job Description

We are currently hiring for the position of:
TIFF Shop Coordinator
 
Reporting to the Director of Visitor Experience, the TIFF Shop Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations of the TIFF Shop to maximize revenue while promoting excellent Visitor Experience.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations:
  • Scheduling, payroll and supervision of Retail team members
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation and encourage effective sales tactics
  • Maintain a high standard of visitor servicing, responding to guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ensure cleanliness and staging of shop displays
  • Ensure Shopify is up to date with merchandise, assist with fulfillment.
  • Other duties as required.
Inventory/Merchandising:
  • Inventory management - reordering, receiving stock and tracking returns.
  • Create and manage engaging window and in store displays for merchandise and organize store layout and floor plan
 
CONTRACT DATES:
Aug 16 – Sept 24, 2021
 

Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 years of Supervisor experience in a retail setting
  • Previous experience with a retail point of sales system (Knowledge of Givex and Shopify is an asset)
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent customer service. Working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in film, non-profits, arts and culture is considered an asset.
  • Must be available to work all days of the Toronto International Film Festival (Sept 9-19, 2021)
