Job Description

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Ticketing Operations Coordinator to join our Database team. Reporting to the Manager of Ticketing Operations, the Coordinator is responsible for the set-up, auditing, and maintenance of ticketing requirements to support Patron Services, Marketing, and other departments. A motivated and adaptable individual, the Ticketing Operations Coordinator will demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills, while striving to improve the day-to-day functionalities of the ticketing database.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accurately set up the day-to-day Tessitura ticketing requirements including, but not limited to, building and enabling prices and special offers; opening seating sections; monitoring and maintaining inventory for discount offers.
  • Troubleshoot and assist Patron Services representatives with any ticketing issues in a timely manner; escalate as needed.
  • Regularly audit and maintain the online purchase path (TNEW) to ensure accurate set up.
  • Execute dynamic pricing as directed by Manager of Ticketing Operations or members of the Marketing management team.  
  • Assist Manager of Ticketing Operations and Database team with set-up of events and packages in Tessitura, as well as testing and proofing, to prepare for large onsales, season launches, and special projects.
  • Assist Manager of Ticketing Operations and the Database team with research and testing to implement new/improved ticketing functionalities.
  • Additional duties as required.


  • University or college degree, with 2–3 years’ experience with a ticketing database. Experience with Tessitura is an asset.
  • High level of attention to detail; ability to follow protocol set in place to ensure integrity of the database.
  • Ability to quickly learn new ticketing concepts and functionality; excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Superb organizational skills, including adaptable time management and prioritization of tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Info:

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.
Additional hours to work evenings and weekends for concert duty (approximately twice a month during the season), and for peak project periods.
