ABOUT ARTHUBS:
ArtHubs is a non-profit organization based in Toronto that operates a portfolio of four community cultural hubs, including Daniels Spectrum, Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts, Wychwood Barns and Youngplace. Hub operations involve commercial property management for space rental and building operations, while integrating with community animation and cultural programming. These hubs represent vital social infrastructure for Toronto’s creative economy, clustering creative people and organizations in facilities designed to support artists and creatives thrive while enhancing the broader communities they serve.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the department Director, the Residency Sales & Program Coordinator will support ArtHubs key strategic objective of strengthening our social enterprise and serving more artists and communities through the achievement of sales targets and community stewardship goals. This on-site role supports the self-directed and thematic artist residency program located at the Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts, on Toronto Island.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as first point of contact for residency clients and tenants, corresponding via a high volume of inbound telephone calls and emails
- Triage initial sales inquiries; and conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with new and existing customers; make recommendations based on customer needs, venue availability and revenue potential
- Schedule and conduct venue tours with potential clients, as needed
- Knowledgeable about the space and become an ambassador for the organization
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Gibraltar Point self-directed and thematic artist residency program, which includes promotion, application review, coordination of arrivals / departures, and program development
- Develop residency and event quotes within the approved rate framework to maximize sales and client satisfaction, escalating approvals to Director, Community Services as necessary.
- Contribute to sales targets by completing the residency booking process and pushing sales for existing and potential clients.
- Active user of customer relationship management system (Salesforce CRM) to confirm venue/residency availability, enter new leads, draft booking contracts, issue invoices, monitor deadlines and payments
- Ensure timely follow-up with clients to increase close rates and repeat business, conduct follow-up surveys, source and maintain a database of client testimonials for marketing use
- Prepare and maintain internal and external hub-specific communications including monthly building newsletters, GP hub calendar, GP Slack, facility updates in collaboration with building operators and other members of the team
- Foster and maintain meaningful, trusting and collaborative relationships with tenants and clients to understand programming needs, identifying areas of support where ArtHubs can further assist tenants, clients and their initiatives
- Proactively seek out funding opportunities and compatible external partnerships to support programming that aligns with community need
- Other duties as assigned

Pay and Benefits
Salary Range:
$48,000 — $52,000
Benefits:
Annual salary will be prorated to 9-month term of the contract Comprehensive Extended Health Benefits Generous paid time off, including Vacation, Healthcare & Cultural Heritage Days Holiday office closure in December
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications and Experience:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years’ experience in arts and culture, customer service and/or administration
- Valid G Driver’s License required
- Prior work within the not-profit sector and/or sales experience is considered an asset
- Excellent customer service experience with a passion for community engagement and arts & cultural programming
- Experience working in a cross-departmental collaborative team environment
- Medium level proficiency in Microsoft applications and Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience working with Salesforce is considered a strong asset
- Well organized, detail-oriented and a strong multitasker; Highly self-motivated and takes initiative
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Other languages are considered an asset.
- This role may require flexible hours to accommodate programming, events and/or client needs
