ABOUT THE POSITION
Crow’s Theatre is seeking a Production Assistant to join our team for a short term contract (June & July) as we prepare for our 2025-26 season.
The Production Assistant position provides an opportunity to experience, learn from and support multiple departments across the organization and gain hands-on experience working in coordination with the Production Manager (and the Production team). This position will be responsible for planning and managing projects while being supported for success. This is a great introductory level experience for those considering a professional career in the arts. The candidate’s involvement in an array of activities within the company and the theatre venue will enable a very productive mentorship experience for their future in technical production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production and event logistical and administrative support
- Financial tracking, invoicing, and budgeting
- Assisting with writing agreements and contracts
- Communication with staff, artists, equipment vendors, and other collaborators
- Attending production meetings and taking minutes
- Assist creative team with season planning through research and logistics support
- Vendor relations
- Scheduling
- Office maintenance
- Other related duties may be necessary
COMPENSATION
This is a 35 hours per week contract position from June 2 – July 25, 2025, with a $20/hr rate of pay.

Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications and Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy with ability to work independently
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Good time management with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines, and prioritize with minimal direction

- between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Pursuing post-secondary education in Technical Theatre Production or a related field is preferred
- A Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle is preferred
- Previous experience working with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, QLab, ETC or Strand Operating Systems, GrandMA Operating Systems, or Isadora would be considered an asset
- Previous working experience in an arts and/or entertainment company would be an asset
