The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC) is a not-for-profit organization with a mandate to support and promote the arts community in Edmonton. The EAC works to increase the profile and involvement of arts and culture in all aspects of community life. Our programs and services are designed to realize Connections & Exchanges: A 10-Year Plan To Transform Arts and Heritage In Edmonton.

 

The Arts & Retail Services Team is the public-facing service team for the Edmonton Arts Council. This Team provides retail and management services to support Edmonton’s diverse makers, presenters, and audiences. Creating an inclusive and welcoming retail experience, providing secure box office services and other professional support systems the team creates a community hub for the arts sector.

 

The EAC is currently recruiting for the Manager, Arts and Retail Service, reporting to the Vice President, Programs and Services, the Manager is accountable for all aspects of operations and services including:

 

  • People Leadership – Manages a team of full and part-time contributors in the operation of the Shop & Services space. Mentors, coaches and guides team members by actively providing operational guidance, engaging in ongoing feedback, and leading opportunities on a team and individual level.
  • Program Development and Growth – Provide leadership in the management of the shop service and retail space including active presence in the downtown core as a retail and box office space, cash management and handling, vendor and inventory management, and navigating building and operational needs. Operationalization of strategic goals including the development and deployment of services that support engagement of the public with the EAC and individual artists and arts organizations, and its presence as a community hub building connection and resiliency within the Edmonton arts community. Nurture opportunities for collaborative partnerships for the benefit of the community.
  • Supporting Team Success – Collaborate across the organization to share information, provide support services and align success with other organizational teams. Support the embedding of IDEA framework and Indigenous Principle to the expectations of program delivery.
  • Administration – Refine the use of platforms and systems for operational efficiency including Shopify and SmartSimple. Provide oversight to all electronic file management for the team and in alignment with other teams in the organization.
