Description
Reelworld was founded in 2000 by award-winning actress and producer Tonya Williams to advance opportunities for Canadians in the screen industries who are Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian and People of Colour by providing professional development and advocating for racial equity in Canadian content and production. Reelworld Screen Institute, a non-profit, provides training programs and presents the acclaimed Reelworld Film Festival, which celebrates stories by racialized Canadians. Providing access to opportunities is core to Reelworld, and Access Reelworld is Canada’s leading hiring platform for racialized crews and talent. Reelworld Foundation, a registered charity, is transforming the industry by creating mechanisms that hold systems accountable for greater equity.
Partnerships and Fundraising Coordinator
Reelworld is looking for a dynamic Partnership and Fundraising Coordinator to join their small, energetic team to deliver and maintain client relationships, providing operational support to sponsors, funders and assisting the team with various program activations, and global support to pipeline growth of the organization by executing sponsorship, grant and fundraising agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster good working relationships with our stakeholders
- Ensure all partnership agreements are executed, the information disseminated to all departments and that the partners needs are met as laid out in their agreements
- Assist with partnerships and funding proposals
- Assist in Identifying and developing new sponsorship and advertising opportunities
- Update partnership decks
- Work with the Finance Manager to ensure partnership invoices are sent and payments received
- Make sure Key Performance Indicators are tracked.
- Collect necessary revenue data of the organization
- Acquire in-kind support for the film festival and other Reelworld programs
- Renew existing agreements, and prepare proposals and contracts for new partnerships
- Prepare regular reports on sponsorship performance and timely post-event reports
- Maintain accurate data on all leads and confirmed sponsors in Salesforce
- All other reasonable duties as assigned and identified by the organization.

Salary Range:
$47,000 — $60,000
Benefits:
After 12 months work some health benefits available
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in fundraising, grants, sponsorship, marketing or similar area.
- Some experience within the Canadian screen industry or media arts.
- Proficiency in business writing, communication, organization, presentation skills
- Able to create graphics and decks (example Canva)
- Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and work autonomously, adaptable to change, and meet strict deadlines.
- Coordinate partnership meetings, including scheduling, generating emails.
- Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with a willingness to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Computer literacy and comfort with remote work
- Experience with, salesforce, formassembly, website (eg Wix.com), zoom, monday.com, social media etc. an assett.
- Ability to practice professionalism and sound judgment
- Ability to practice discretion in managing confidential information
- Ability to self-start and think critically about how to solve problems
- Detail-oriented and able to produce high quality work on a regular basis
- Growth-oriented mindset with a desire to seek feedback and learn continuously
- Flexibility to travel locally to meet company needs and potential weekend work is required to meet project delivery deadlines
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Bilingual English/French (oral and written) an asset
