About Us:

The Rosedale Centre, leveraging the physical facilities of Rosedale United Church, seeks to provide programs that engage the surrounding communities and that foster a strong, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Arts, Culture, and Wellness programs will form the core of the activities.

 

While a non-profit organization, the Rosedale Centre seeks to generate revenues from on-site program and event operators, as well as participants/attendees, with the goal of helping to cover the overall costs of the 159 Roxborough Drive.

 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization and drive our mission forward. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Centre’s operations, including strategic planning, program development, ongoing operations, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communications skills, be capable of both strategic thinking and operational delivery, and possess experience in marketing and new business development. We expect the role to require 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the operations of the centre on day-to-day basis ensuring that programs and events can be carried on successfully and as agreed with partners and with program operators.
  • As the Rosedale Centre is relatively new, there is still a need to test and confirm the strategy and evolve it towards the best possible focus and approach that will  achieve the Centre’s goals.
  • Expand the activity base of the Centre by adding new beneficial programs and attracting new operators and strategic partners; this includes executing sales activities such as prospecting and pipeline management; it also includes conceiving of and designing and developing some of the programming.
  • Develop and execute an optimal marketing and awareness building plan to ensure optimal levels of community participation.
  • Define financial and other goals, milestones, or kpi’s and align with RUC leadership on targets and timing; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, making data-driven decisions to continuously improve and adapt to changing needs.
  • Obtain funding for programming where appropriate from government and private sources.
  • Form trust-based and collaborative relationships with partners and program operators to sustain and grow their involvement with and use of the Centre.
  • Collaborate with the Rosedale United Church Board, ministry personnel, and staff to ensure joint goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Develop business cases periodically to add staff; motivate and manage staff.
  • Provide appropriate reporting on finances and overall progress and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, if any.
