Music Publishers Canada and Work in Culture are proud to present Future of Work, a suite of practical HR tools to help support talent acquisition, retention, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) for arts and culture organizations and companies of all sizes.

There is an ongoing demand for change in the workplace across all industries, and the arts and culture sector is no exception. Future of Work offers practical human resources tools and templates to help organizations adapt and thrive in a dynamic marketplace. It outlines how to adopt the “right practices” in hiring, retaining, and fostering workers, and provides the HR tools and resources needed to implement them.

Future of Work: HR Tools to Support Talent Acquisition, Retention, & DEI in Canada's Creative Community - workinculture.ca/resource/future-of-work

Future of Work is based on research conducted by Include.Me(e) for Music Publishers Canada with the support of Ontario Creates. This research explored the state of employment in the Canadian music publishing industry through a human resources lens. Include.Me(e) is a consultancy established to foster and enable an inclusive and equitable journey in the workplace.

The Future of Work report provides an overview of the research findings and offers recommendations and practical HR toolkits that can be used by any company or organization in the wider arts and culture sector to impact change in their own creative workplace.

In addition to the report, the Future of Work suite of tools also includes a series of on-demand video training sessions led by Yvonne Odonkor, Principal at Include.Me(e).

Each video explores a series of HR recommendations and resources from the Future of Work report to help guide organizations through the basics of building and implementing right practices in talent mapping, performance management, and the DEI journey.

Sample HR templates from the report are also available to download and can be customized for use in your own company or organization to help support succession planning, performance reviews, and DEI strategy.

Future of Work will be useful to organizations across the creative industries and the arts and culture sector in Canada.
