Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President (AVP), Ancillary Services, the Director, Bookstore, Printing and Mailing Services is responsible for the effective direction and management of the University's Bookstore, Printing & Mailing Services businesses and operations, including strategic planning, market research, business and partnership development, service enhancement, financial controls and performance, and operations management to deliver high-quality forward-thinking services that are designed with an entrepreneurial approach through the lens of the University's mission and institutional priorities. The York University Bookstore has two locations on the Keele campus in the York Lanes building, satellite stores in the Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business buildings, and a store on the Glendon campus.
 
 

Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, retail management, finance, marketing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience in a large private or public sector organization, preferably in a University, student service environment and/or large retail environment is required.
  • Five (5) years of management experience required, preferably within a unionized environment.
  • Experience in business operations, strategic planning, facility and risk management, and a leadership role managing human, financial and operational resources required.
