Job Description

This is an entry to intermediate level, contract position with an established film & TV distribution company. The ideal candidate would evolve in to a full time role based on the business.

Looking for an exceptionally bright, quick, ambitious and self motivated person to join our 13 year old Film & TV distribution company as we grow to the next level. The position is truly that of 'all rounder' in that you'll be involved in all aspects of the business. From administrative - working on contracts and client correspondence, to web site and social media management across our brands, to research and sales support - preparing sales sheets and catalogs for upcoming markets.

Learning from the ground up the ideal candidate would eventually move in to a role of account management, sales or acquisitions, attending major film & TV markets internationally.

You're a self started and quick learning, looking to take on projects for the sake of learning and improvement and develop new initiatives as they turn up. 

Specific aspects of the job include but are not limited to:
- Updating and draft contracts and amendments
- Reaching out to clients to follow up on agreements and updates
- Entering contract details in to our rights management system
- Performing research prior to film & TV markets and setting up meetings with prospective buyers or sellers, for other members of the team
- Maintaining schedules of other team members while at festivals and markets
- Updating our social media platforms; announcing new releases and finding editorial hooks for our existing content
- Developing, maintaining and following up on opportunities generated from our outbound mailing campaigns
- Updating our various Web sites; creating content and editorial snippets
- Research and appointment setting for sales team prior to major film & TV markets.


- You're a whiz at Photoshop, Illustrator, Word Press, with some basic editing skills. People come to you with questions on how to use these programs!
- On the side, you're so proficient at MS Office you could teach a course on it!
- Excellent phone manner and written communication skills
- Must have prior experience and exceptional competence at using MailChimp and creating HTML 'flyers/brochures' either within the platform or through HTML
- Completely fluent in English
- You're a natural at sales and eventually see yourself selling film or TV programs internationally

Additional Info:

- Must love film & TV. (that's an easy one!)
- Specifically, a strong interest in unscripted TV series, coupled with an interest in horror/action/thriller films, comedy and family film, is a benefit. Ideally you have an undergrad in flm & TV studies, communications or similar and love to watch things on platforms other than Netflix and Amazon.
- Exceptionally digital adept
- Looking for a career in Film & TV distribution; with a view to sales, acquisitions and festival attendance
- Not looking for wanna be directors or people 'just getting experience' in film and TV. This is a commercial driven role with an established company. While we have many award winning art house films and documentaries we are transitioning more in to market driven scripted features and factual TV series.
- This is a 3 month contract role to start.
