Galerie de Bellefeuille

Galerie de Bellefeuille is one of Canada’s most recognized independently run art galleries. Founded in 1980, the gallery offers works in all areas of fine Canadian and international art from paintings and prints to photography and sculpture, spotlighting their artist at international art fairs such as Photo London, Art Toronto, Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and Art Miami.

The gallery has always been keen to highlight internationally acclaimed artists and is proud to have had many firsts within the Canadian art milieu. It held the first Canadian Solo exhibition of American pop artist Jim Dine, the first solo exhibition of acclaimed English sculptor Nicola Hicks, the first solo exhibition of reputed English sculptor Sophie Ryder, the first Quebec exhibition of glass sculptor Dale Chihuly and more recently the first Canadian Solo exhibition for Mel Bochner.

Job Description

Galerie de Bellefeuille is seeking a full time Sales Associate.

This position requires a dynamic individual who is trustworthy, organized and meticulous. An educational background in Art History is mandatory. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Photoshop. Physical abilities and soft skills are required for the installations of artworks and the manipulation of precious objects.



Requirements:

1-2 years experience in similar position
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Excellent interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Physically able for the manipulation and installation of artworks
Knowledge of Photoshop and Art Systems is an asset
Valid driver's license
 

Additional Info:

*This position has an hourly salary and a commission structure.
