Job Description

Starvox Entertainment currently operates a dedicated event space and sales centre in Toronto. In addition to this location, Starvox Entertainment is operating various events in US cities. The Ticket Seller is primarily responsible for processing on site and over-the-phone ticket purchases for the both local and international Starvox Entertainment events with a high standard of customer service. The Ticket Seller is also responsible for providing friendly and knowledgeable information in regard to all products and services in a timely and professional manner, while maximizing revenue through upselling when applicable. 

● Ensure that each visitor is met with a warm smile and a friendly greeting 
● Handling large volume of sales on a regular basis 
● Using upselling to maximize revenue when appropriate
● Processing and managing cash, debit and credit card transactions with confidence 
● Operating computerized ticketing systems and ensuring all account data is captured accurately 
● Answering and operating telephones in order to sell tickets and assist with other related customer inquiries
● Maintaining discretion regarding confidentiality of all account information
● Adhering to and interpreting all Ticketing policies and procedures to provide a high level of service 
● Trouble-shooting equipment and hardware 
● Balance daily transactions ensuring all sales are balanced (accuracy essential), troubleshooting when discrepancies occur 
● Maintain a strong understanding of all Lighthouse Immersive staff policies
● Have an experienced knowledge of all related ticket pricing, schedule, promotions and operations
● Confidently handle any customer issues related to ticketing
● Process change of date requests from customers as well as assist with visitors’ inquiries via telephone and email
● Other duties as required
 

Requirements:

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
● A committed, professional and proactive approach to Customer Service Excellence and Visitor Satisfaction 
● Excellent people skills with the ability to interact effectively and confidently with customers as well as staff members at all levels within the organization in person, by e-mail and telephone
● Reliable, responsible and punctual 
● Ability to work well both independently and as a team player 
● Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
● Proven cash-handling skills and experience with computerized sales POS system
● Experience with CRM software such as Happy Fox, ZenDesk or SalesForce
● Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, VOIP phone systems is preferred
● A can-do attitude
● Love of arts and culture is a plus!
